The buildings that were part of Barcelona’s main hospital, until the 20th century are still standing and offer beauty to the human eye. The former Hospital de la Santa Creu is one of the many examples of the Catalan civil-Gothic architecture.
When the hospital was moved to a new place in the city, The old hospital, which had become obsolete, was declared a Historic and Artistic Landmark of National Interest. It was refurbished a century later but the old complex still looks amazing.
